Staff really do treat guests interests and experiences as the most important thing. They are very helpful and friendly, and also committed to guests having an enjoyable experience. Staff also provided plenty of suggestions of good restaurants, attractions, and tours. They genuinely care, which is the most important thing. On two occasions I had to make a very early start, at 5am, to go into the Andes, and the staff ensured I was able to have a good breakfast before leaving and they waited with me outside until my coach arrived to ensure that I would be ok. There was a very friendly vibe in the hotel, and positive interactions between guests. With a variety of nationalities, including English and European, Americans, Australians all mixing together, conversations were always stimulating and friendly. The location was excellent - only a couple of minutes to the Barrio Listarria precinct, and close to all significant attractions. The hotel represented very good value.

reception was really helpful and knowledgeable, including providing a city map and information on public transport. We were given metro cards free of charge which we only needed to top up with the travel credit we required. The hotel itself is conveniently located to the metro network and even the airport is easily reachable by public transport (combination of metro + airport bus). - the hotel is in Lastarria neighbourhood where there are good dining options and evening animation. Also the historic centre and other places are within easy reach walking / by taxi or public transport - there is a 24/7 kiosk shop nearby and I liked the fresh fruit juices you could buy around the corner - the hotel had a very personal touch as it was a boutique hotel with only a few rooms - the nostalgic central elevator and the whole building was pure Art Nouveau so it felt like living in a museum making my stay very special. In fact the hotel building is a national monument designed by the famous 20th century Chilean Polish architect Luciano Kulczewski. For those interested, you can find a few more of his signature buildings nearby. - I loved the big bathroom and the comfy beds in the stylish hotel room - the breakfast choice was wide and plentiful so everybody should find something to his/her taste - the rooftop terrace which during the day served as bar/restaurant was amazing and boasted a good panorama view. Also there was a small swimming pool on it.

The hotel is gorgeous. Period. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The rooftop with (small) swimming pool beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in (short) walking distance to a myriad of restaurants, bars, cafes, a park etc. All-in-all, I loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

The location of the hotel was excellent for exploring Barrio Italia, Bella Vista, Providencía, and Lastarria. The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and capable. Breakfast had a variety of options, and all fruits and juices were fresh. The outdoor roof space had a good vibe, the afternoon/evening bar enjoyable, and restaurant food tasty. The pool is simply a dip in and cool off space, waist high, approx. 5x12, no swimming. Nice views of Cerro San Cristobal and the park.

Restaurant/places to eat in Hotel Luciano K

Gorgeous hotel in a lovely neighbourhood in Santiago. The hotel was a really nice size, great amenities, comfortable (and very large) bed. Very very clean. The bathroom was huge and shower temperature was perfect. Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel - plenty of variety and the eggs were perfect. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Brian who was very accomodating when I was having issues with my bank card. And to top everything off, the rooftop bar is just lovely and the food + drinks were great.

Breakfast in Hotel Luciano K

We liked the quirky charm of the hotel, the rooftop terrace and bar, the friendly, helpful staff and the location - easy to walk to the restaurants, bars and galleries of both Bellavista and Lastarria; nice to have Parque Forestal just opposite. We were glad that we'd asked for a room at the front with a view. This proved to be very much worth the extra money/ upgrade. Breakfasts were good too.

Lovely Art Deco hotel - fantastic architecture. A very warm welcome from the receptionist who was hugely helpful (as were his colleagues throughout my stay); they even leant me electrical socket converters as mine did not fit. The roof top bar is the absolute highlight of this place - great bar, fantastic tapas food, lovely views and atmosphere; for me it was the perfect way to end my 5.5 week tour in Chile and Argentina. Great location with good restaurants and bars nearby. Huge and very comfortable bed.

The @lucianokhotel - named for the Chilean architect - Luciano Kulczewski - a pioneer of modern architecture - was built c. 1927 - at that time it was the tallest building in Santiago - all of 7 stories - the first building with central heating - and it boasted the first indoor elevator in the country - kind of a big-deal building - the style is considered Spanish Neo-Baroque with an expressively Cubist bent - it is packed with interesting details - the elevator still functions - and the building is guarded from above by a mythological animal - it is more amended to function rather than restored - so there are lots of rough edges - original tile remains cracked - the elevator shimmys and creaks - as do the bedroom floors - there’s an air of whimsy-eerie - as doors throughout are coffin-shaped - some with stained glass - and iron swirls everywhere - it’s sort of like staying in a museum - a very cool museum with lots of surprises

The staff were excellent! The reception staff were really friendly, helpful, and spoke English. They also provided great recommendations of local restaurants and bars. The restaurant staff were also lovely. The hotel is stylish and unique; I love the old elevator. The room was cosy, shower was great and the bed was super comfy! Would have loved to have seen the rooftop bar, but due to bad weather it was closed like many things around the city while we were here. A good excuse to stay again next time we visit.

Hotel Luciano K is an excellent place to stay while in Santiago. We were a group of 4 couples (8 people) visiting Santiago for the first time. The location gave us a nice walking distance to various sights of the city - Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucia Hill, and the funicular to San Cristobal Hill. We ate the first evening at the hotel restaurant on the open deck of the hotel, a very good meal. Then ate at local restaurants in walking distance in the Lastarria district. A special thank you to the staff. One of our group left some items including jewelry in the room when we departed. I contacted the desk 2 days later and the maid had found the items which they put in lost and found. The items were held for us until we could return to pick them up on our return travel through Santiago as we returned home. Thank you!!
